Hello! I’m Sabrina, a PhD student slowly writing her dissertation. In the summer of 2018, I bought a university parking pass, headed to my lab, and sat down, determined to write everyday.
I lasted about 30 minutes.
To be fair, my lab, like most graduate student workspaces, is an utterly depressing and wholly uninspiring room with no windows and poor temperature control. Summer in Toronto last all of 15 glorious minutes. Was I really going to spend those 15 minutes cooped up in here with no sunlight? Hell no!
So I packed up, returned the parking pass, and set out to find #prettyplacestowrite.
